Beachy waves are the go-to hairstyle this summer and for good reason. They’re effortless to create, universally flattering no matter your age, face shape or hair type, and can be very versatile. But you don't need a dip in the ocean for perfectly tousles, undone waves.
To get the perfect beachy waves at home is easy, you just need the right styling tools and know-how on using them. We've collected our go-to tutorials for you so grab your favourite heat protectant and prepare to look fabulous!
1. Create gorgeous beachy waves with a Curler
When it comes to curls, the first thing people think of is the classic curling iron. There are a variety of curlers with different sized barrels so you can choose the type of curl you want depending on your hairs thickness and length. If you want small, tight curls choosing a curling iron from 13cm to 16cm barrel is ideal, and if you want large, looser curls then go with a larger barrel from 19cm to 38cm.
To start, prep your hair with a heat protectant spray to protect the strands. Curl your hair with your selected curling iron and for added volume, alternate the direction of curls. Let the curls cool to set and then brush through with a wide-toothed comb or fingers to loosen the curls. Finish with either hair spray or a texturizing spray.
Tips: if you use a curling wand then leave a couple of inches at the end of your hair not curled to keep it looking natural and beachy.
